Description
Yellow depression era glass
creamer and sugar bowl set
in the Ballerina pattern made by Hocking Glass circa 1930 - 1934.
This was a rare and unexpected find at a Newburyport, MA estate sale. As yellow depression era glass was not a commonly produced color in it's day, it is even scarcer now. Many of the few pieces that were produced have either been thrown away, damaged or broken over time. Given that they were originally produced as free soap box or other consumer premiums and were not made to survive many decades, it's amazing that this fragile set is still in excellent collectable condition 85 years later. There are no chips, no cracks, and no signs of use.
The creamer measures approx 4 1/2" wide (handle to pouring spout) and 3 1/2" high. The sugar bowl measures approx 5" wide (handle to handle) and 3" high.

GENERAL COMMENTS AND CONCERNS --
SHIPPING --
We ship every week day so your item will ship the business day after you place your order. All items are well packed the way we would want to receive them if we were the buyers. Ceramics and glassware are individually wrapped and cushioned and hard cover books get their corners protected.
DESCRIPTION --
Please enlarge and view ALL of the pictures. The item you see in the photos is precisely the one you will receive. The pics are a real part of the description and show the condition. whether new or vintage, in ways that words can not always express.
Keep in mind that vintage items are old and have been used in every day life. They will show signs of that life and history in their patina, scuffed edges, dings, dents, chips and rust spots etc. That's what makes them special! We've made every effort to point out any imperfections we see but, again, the pictures will be helpful in determining true condition.
If you still feel the words and pictures are not enough, we'll be happy to answer your questions. We spend a lot of time on researching and try our best to get item info correct, but we are not experts. Sometimes we need help and welcome information from other customers or sellers. If you spot an error in the listing or have product info to share, we welcome your input.
FEEDBACK --
After you receive your item and you're happy with your purchase and our service, please remember to leave positive feedback and we will do the same for you.
If there is ever any problem with your order, of any kind, please let us know BEFORE you leave negative feedback so that we may respond and solve any concerns ASAP.
