Sterling silver detachable lid with brush and beautiful cut crystal bowl.
Sterling lid decorated with scrolls and foliage around rim, sterling loop handle.
Lid sits tight.
Not monogrammed.
Hallmarked to lid: "W Lion" a trademark for Whiting Mfg. Co.; (1866-1924)
"Sterling" for 0,925/1000 silver purity; "Pat. 1893";
numerals "4462" over "100" probably for pattern or manufacturer's code;
"925/1000 Fine" for silver purity.
Made sometime in 1893 - early 1900's.
