Vintage Round Dresser Powder Trinket Box Signed

Up for sale is the porcelain dresser powder trinket box painted on the lid with a figurine couple, dated likely mid-20
th
century or earlier. The round-shaped box features a wide-mouth rim with a removable lid decorated with scalloped edges. The lid is painted with a couple dressed in Victorian style sitting on a bench in a pavilion accompanied by a dog. Both sides of the couple stand the lady’s parasol and the gentleman’s hat on a cane against the fence, respectively. The painting is signed Knonllez and surrounded by gold gilt beaded decoration. Both the lid and box are also designed with
ridges on the surface. The
gold gilt decoration is seen on the ridges and edges. No other marks are found.
Measures: 3” high x 4 ¾” mouth-rim diameter (or 5 ½” wide, across widest parts) x 3 ¾” base diameter. Condition: Excellent, with no chips, cracks or repairs.
