SOME INTERESTING INFORMATION –
AMBERINA -
AMBERINA is two-toned glass - originally made 1883-1900
. It was made by several manufacturers over the years and is still produced today.
AMBERINA typically comes in shades from red to amber
. Amberina is made from an amber glass which contains some gold - or to which gold is added. The colour develops after repeated rounds of heating and cooling - so, often the top of the piece is red, if the colour of the piece spans from yellowish to red.
AMBERINA ALSO comes in shades from blue to amber
. This glass is referred to as
Blue AMBERINA or BLUERINA
. I believe that a different metal is within this glass or is added to the glass to create the blue tone.

Processing Blankets, Once in Hand -
All Blankets are washed in Wool-Safe Laundry Detergent; dried on warm heat, until dry; photographed from both sides; folded and bagged loosely, then placed into a storage cupboard having cedar shingles throughout the cupboard until sold.
There are videos and web-sites on line which explain how wool items can be re-stretched to their proper shape or size (or closer to) – as shrinkage happens when washed and dried.
