Description

Avon powder sachet called "Quaintance" in a 1-1/4 oz glass bottle with a red plastic cap. "Quaintance" scent was launched by Avon in 1947/1948 and was discontinued in 1955.  It is duplicate marked with green ink and black ink on one side only.  Bottom of bottle has raised letters but I cannot decipher.  Some of the powder has been used but still about 7/8 full.  Smells like old perfume.  Bottle and cap are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips but some of the ink printing has worn off.
Complete text on the bottle by line is:  AVON, QUAINTANCE, SACHET, AVON PRODUCTS INC, DISTRIBUTOR, NEW YORK PASADENA, NET WT. 1 1/4 OZS.
A great addition to any vintage Avon collection.
Bottle is about 2-1/2" high.  There is no inner liner inside with  holes for dispensing but that was standard for this product.
This is a rare collectible and still can be used.  Ladies of the past sprinkled powder sachets on their lingerie, inside their shoes and on their handkerchiefs.
SALES/USE TAX NOTE:  As of October 1, 2019, eBay will collect sales or use tax on applicable transactions for buyers in most states, such as Arizona, California, Colorado, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Nevada, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah and so on. The applicable sales tax based on buyer's address will be added to your invoice to pay in eBay.  Some states require the sales tax to apply to the shipping and handling and some do not (i.e., Massachusetts).  For other states,  I am based in Massachusetts and my eBay sales do not require a sales tax to be collected as my total yearly sales are below those state's minimum requirements for either total dollars or number of transactions for a "remote seller".  I am re-selling items collected by myself and family over many years and not buying new inventory to make a profit.  eBay should not be charging the buyer a sales or use tax for those states not requiring a sales or use tax.  Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon have no sales or use taxes at all.  But states update their laws at any time,  so please be aware.
