Orig. price Now .50. AntiqueJapanese Maekanagu Clasp: a baby reaching for a butterfly. The back of the clasp does come off. One of the prongs is completely broken, but one is just half broken. The front is the figures. There is a lot of details but the face of the baby has become worn.
The Maekanagu is made of iron and can also have bronze, copper, gold and or silver on the front. The clasp is used for closure or decoration on a Japanese traditional tobacco pouch. The designs are usually very detailed and unique.
These clasps can easily be made into a pin or pendant.
