RAYTECH 6" Trim Saw Model L-6S with new 6" X .016 blade & 1/3 H.P. Dayton Motor

This is a Raytech Model L-6S Lapidary Rock Trim Saw mounted on a baseboard powered by a 1/3 H.P. Dayton Motor. I found this in a shop that the old gentleman said he had only used it a couple of times years ago and by the appearance I could believe it. It had a copper blade that still had the price on it. I took it home and cut a couple of pieces (a piece of Turquoise and a piece of agate) with it before I would prep it to sell it. I have replaced the blade with a 6" X .016 Diamond Blade. I sold these saws for years in my Rock shop in the 70's and I always loved how easy they were to clean and change fluids in. I restore lapidary machines and this was as nice as it needed nothing more than paint on the table  and the front shield. I have cut a container to cover the back of the saw table to help contain the saw mist that gets everywhere when you are cutting. It is shown in the last photo.
