Rare Vintage Concert Ticket VIP Pass George Benson Boston MA August 16 1983 Concerts on the Common. Measures 3 1/2" x 4 3/8". Crack & peel style patch ticket has back intact uncracked. The front has an X mark and a slash line through VIP indicating it was used as a pass but not eligible for special seating. This was my ticket, I was in attendance. VIP Pass Ticket Boston MA dated 1983 Concerts on the Common. the pass measures 3 1/2" x 4 3/8" printed on nylon or similar synthetic fabric. These were original crack & peel type stickers used as special tickets. I had a friend who worked security at the shows and he saved me some of the tickets. I myself saw a bunch of shows and was in attendance at this one. The tickets are stick-on type and the person would wear them on their jacket or shirt. Back in the 80's, the city of Boston used to have concerts on the Boston Common. They would fence off an area of the Common and there were seats for maybe several hundred people. Unfortunately, the old biddies who lived in the neighborhood (posh Beacon Hill) complained about the noise from the Concerts on the Common held that summer, so they were soon brought to an end. And to this day, no additional concerts (featuring popular bands) have played on the Common. But at least I can say I saw some of the most popular bands of the 80’s play in one of the most famous spots in America on many great summer nights.
