ESTATE FIND!
Over all, Very Good, Gently Used, Vintage condition.  Wear consistent with age and use.  The original cold painted on design has worn away with the years, but the shape makes this a stand out vanity piece!  As usual, I am selling the item as I found it at the estate sale.  Zoom in on all of the photos as part of the description.
Styled to look like a mortar and pestle used by apothecaries and/or pharmacies, I believe this is an old Powder Jar that ladies would have had on their boudoir's vanity table!  Possibly cold cream came in it originally.  My guess is that it's from the 1920s or so.  I will leave all of this up to those of you who are more knowledgeable to decide.  Any help with identification would be greatly appreciated.
Measures approximately 3 1/2" Tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the lid's finial x 3 1/8" Across in diameter from rim to rim.
