Description

A truly rare, one-of-a-kind, original collectible festival poster from Strange Daze 1998, the short-lived U.S. Space Rock Festival (5 years), featuring HAWKWIND, Pressurehed, Nucleon, Architectural Metaphor, Thom The World Poet, Drumplay, Melting Euphoria, Alien Planetscapes, Quarkspace (and many others) who performed at this weekend-long festival, August 14-16, 1998, at Nelson Legends Quarry Park, Garrettsville, Ohio.  The Strange Daze festival ran for only five years (1997-2001), finally ending at the dawn of the 21st century.  The poster itself is very colorful, and retains its vibrancy due to the lamination.  However, the laminated poster has a concave bend to it caused by the tension of the lamination, itself.  On the other hand, the lamination has helped to preserve the colors of the poster, which can be straightened out with matting/framing.  Ideal gift for the ultimate HAWKWIND fan to complete his/her collection.
Also, included in this Hawkwind lot is
a rarity among rarities in the form of a compilation disc intended for fanzine subscribers to HAWK U.S., a once more-active enterprise, which included music samplers.  This one is titled "Time & Space #7, issued in 1999, containing tracks by HAWKWIND and other space-rock-friendly groups, assembled by the Strange Daze Festival organizers in USA during that summer of 1998.  This vanity project (each individually numbered) has only been played once or twice, and has sat in my collection for decades.  Not sure exactly, but I believe only 100 were ever made.  Hawk U.S. was a small fanzine for American readers, mostly.  This is #29 (hand-numbered), long out-of-print, and is in NM condition; the music having been duplicated simply onto Memorex disc, with beta information included.  Graphics include a simple fold-out booklet.  Band and and song titles, etc. on reverse tray card.
Finally, I offer a limited-production run CD by HAWKWIND (Dave Brock, Ron Tree, Jerry Richards, Richard Chadwick) called "Distant Horizons" on The Emergency Broadcast System label, #EBSCD139, which was recorded at Earth Studios, Barkalot Farm, between January - July, 1997.  Like New CD in used jewel box.
As a free bonus, I will include a paper B & W poster in good condition, which became the official version of the Strange Daze Festival poster in 1998.
