Description

Five stunning antique Belgian 800 silver and cut glass vanity jars. The jars are pre 1868 as indicated by the silver hallmarks. Each jar has a beautiful silver cap with etched crown detail on the top, under the silver cap is a glass stopper. The jars measures approximately: 2 large jars - 7"h x 3.25" in diameter 1 medium jar - 6"h x 2.75" in diameter 2 small jars - 5.25"h x 2.5" in diameter There are chips and flea bites to the corners or sides of 4 of the jars. There is light tarnish and surface scratches consistent with age and use. There is light powder residue. The caps are stamped with Belgian A 800 in square cartouche indicating silver made pre 1868, there is also what appears to be a "D" makers mark. Paper price tags from Lorin Marsh/NYC on verso for 40. for the set. A romantic group of vanity jars, don't miss out!
