Exacta 8" Faceting Machine
Machine has been thoroughly cleaned, lubed, and tested by a faceting instructor. The stone in the last picture was cut on this machine, to verify it's accuracy. Everything works as it should.
1/2" thick machined aluminum top plate (like Ultra-Tec and Facetron machines) mounted on a steel base.
Variable speed, reversible, DC motor with direct drive via a cone-shaped rubber flange.
With small clicking increments the height is adjusted on the solid mast. A Micrometer readout for the "tilt" setting of the "cheater" knob gives small, repeatable settings.
Includes some older 8" laps with rusty spots, but they work quite well and will get you started.
