this is a very hard to find original cotton club program.
december 15, 1936.
the cotton club was a legendary new york city nightclub which operated during the eras of prohibition & jim crow racial segregation.
Black people could not initially patronize the cotton club, but the venue featured many of the most popular Black entertainers.
this program features cab calloway, bill bojangles robinson.

numerous images of scantily clad women/partially naked women.
contains quotes from famous attendees such as babe ruth -
i went to the collton club for fifteen minutes.
at the end of three hours i was still amused and anything but bored.
there is some wear/damage that includes -
both covers have heavy central vertical crease that goes into a few pages.
front cover -
long diagonal cover crease.
corner creases & a corner chip.
many smudges/blemishes/scratches.
long bottom binding split & a small upper edge binding split.
back cover has creases/scratches, but the imagey of the women shows thru very nicely.
inside blank cover has staining in a corner area & some tape repairs on another corner.
calloway portrait has very mild central vertical crease.
robinson portrait has a central vertical crease w some scratches/flecks. but, his image shows thru very nicely.
last pg has some scratches.
4 pgs detached at 1 staple but still attached to the program.
hard to find in any condition.
