I am enjoying my new viola and that is why I am selling Samuel Shen which served me greatly and helped me to prepare a number of my viola students for their auditions and acceptance/receptions of scholarships at MSU, CMU, WMU and other Universities of Midwest to Major in Viola Performance.
When I ship the viola, I pack it by following all regular standards of shipping of a musical string instrument, meaning, taking the bridge down, lowering tension of the strings yet making sure the tension is there. I use padding materials to fit the viola snuggly into the case. The case itself will be packed into the box with the padding materials. I can accommodate local pick up also. Please contact me for the method of payment if you want to do a local pick up.
The viola and the bow will be insured for its full value and the package will ship via FedEx ground with direct signature required. You may want your local shop to set the bridge back to its place and have the position the sound post checked.
Please bear in mind that I photograph all stages of packing instruments before shipping the instrument.
