ENGLISH SPEAKING
Diameter of 32.5 cms and height of 7.5 cms.
Weight of approximately 430 grs without packaging.
Materials: Bronze.
Presumed age: 18th to early 19th century.
Ashanti bronze bowl, used to keep jewelry, bronze weights or any other precious object.
The bronze is hammered, while revealing fine patterns and symbols typically Akan, such as the lizard.
The bowl is covered with an important patina of verdigris on the lower part. It is also curled and slightly perforated on one side of the lower part - see photos. The part nevertheless remains solid, and can constitute an excellent empty pocket or other.
