Presumed age: 18th century.
Akan bronze weight, most likely from the Baoulé ethnic group.
Representation of a fawn (leopard), whose body is covered with fine Akan patterns.
Superb quality details. Very beautiful patina left by time.
The piece is sold with the custom-made plinth shown in the photos, on which it is simply placed.
