    Antique WW1 Era British St Johns Ambulance Association Cross Cased & Silver Bars
    DESCRIPTION
    Antique boxed original brass St Johns Ambulance Association medal with sterling silver bars. Made by the Royal warrant holders of Fattorini and sons of Birmingham this medal is inscribed to the original recipient George Robson. Made from brass, the two year service bars for 1912 and 1913 are made from sterling silver and hallmarked appropriately for the corresponding years.

    Marked on back : 144353 George Robson
    Year bars marked: 1912 144353 V & S (Vaughton & Sons makers ) anchor (Birmingham city mark) Lion passant (sterling denotation) n (year mark 1912)
    Year bars marked: 1913 144353 V & S (Vaughton & Sons makers ) anchor (Birmingham city mark) Lion passant (sterling denotation) o (year mark 1913)
