Hello and Welcome,
This listing is for an antique half doll covered powder/dresser jar.
Unmarked on bottom. I am most certain this piece was manufactured in Germany.
My Grandmother along with her mother collected half doll and half doll related items and nearly all of her collection originated in Germany.
Pretty porcelain Half Doll Lady holding a flower basket with a Pompadour hairdo wearing a  Yellow, Blue and Purple Dress.   She is so cute.
Incised with the numbers 23661.
Believed to be unmarked "Germany"
Size: 5" high x 4 1/8" wide.
Condition: Great, without damage or repairs and no loss of décor.
Circa early 1900's
This piece comes from my private collection and has been lovingly cared for and kept in a curio cabinet for many, many years.
This fashionable Victorian lady can be used to keep your favorite items in. Looks wonderful when displayed on your nightstand, vanity or dresser.
I keep one on my bathroom vanity where I place my rings in when I am not wearing them. A friend of mine uses one on her desk to keep paper clips in.
Just because these were once used as powder jars does not mean they can not be incorporated into our daily lives for other uses.
Simply place a piece of felt on the bottom if you wish to protect the interior. These powder jars look great when displayed in along with your half dolls or other fine china.
What a great gift this would make for that half doll collector in your life or for those who just have an appreciation for unique and beautiful collectible pieces from the past.
