Description

This heavy glass screw-top jar measures approximately 3 1/8 inches in diameter x 2.25 inches tall; the oval-shaped center section measures almost 2 inches tall x 1.25 inches long x approximately 1 inch wide. The bottom is embossed with PAT. U. S. AND ENGLAND SEPT 5 1899 around the outer edge with MAY 23 1899 “534” CANADA in the center. Jar has a chip on the bottom edge rim, several flea bites or tiny chips along the rim just below the threads; top rim is smooth with slight roughness along one inner edge. The center well has some crackling visible in the glass as shown. I do not know what this jar was designed for; in good pre-owned condition; I do not have a lid for this.
