    Description

    Up for bid is a nice Meiji period Japanese copper small tray.  The tray is 6 3/4 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide and about ½ inch deep. It has a hammered surface with a rich dark brown patina.  It has an applied edge with floral brass? clips at the corners.  It has a single oval mark stamped in the center as shown.
    Condition on the tray is fairly good.  There is some mottling / discoloration on the top, and minor spots and corrosion as well.  It has not been cleaned.  A great-looking piece of Japanese metalwork.
