    Description

    Bronze and enamel cylindrical shaped box, circa 1920. The top has a neo classical structure with a herder and young lady, the lovers. Both enamel work and bronze work are excellent quality. "There are a few like yellow or whites spots which are from flash and not damage The bottom of the box is stamped Hand made, Italy.  Dimensions of box. height 3 1/2" high diameter 3 1/4". The condition of the enamel and bronze are both excellent. There is some rubbing of the gilding on the bottom of the box, VERY minor. Signed on the bottom hand made ~ Italy. The cylindrical sides are like a soft textured finish, loads of detailing around the rims.
    This offering is for the powder jar /humidor Tobacco jar with hand painted miniature work of art - a Romantic genre scene reminiscent of that style in favor during the 1700's and represented primarily in the works of Boucher, Fragonard, others who are now on display in Louvre and other museums and noted as "Romanticism" movement.
    Very good to excellent condition, very heavy solid Dore' bronze!
    Humidor Jar or powder is 3.5" High in 3 1/4" diameter, and presents in fine form.
