Antique Brass Powder Dish Persian ? Abalone Shell Handpainted Engraved Jar
Being offered is this very old handpainted brass powder jar. Persian ? I've seen similar Persian engravings on silver items. Unfortunately, most of the painted scene has worn off. The scene is hard to make out, but I can see people riding on large animals. One of the animals contains a noticeable horn appearing to be a bull. The jar has never been cleaned & retains it's original patina! Measures 2 1/2" in diameter. This is a very old powder jar, likely made in the 1800's! Beautiful original untouched patina!
