Antique 19th Century Chinese Carved Hardstone Dragon Signature Chop/Seal

Description

Presented is an antique, Chinese hard stone seal or chop made during the mid to late 1800s. This piece was hand carved out of hard stone, most likely soapstone. The decorative top is intricately detailed with dragons, vines and leaves. The front has a Chinese character signature and the underside has a carved seal, most likely for ink but it could also be used for a wax seal.
This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age. There are some tiny little chips to some of the raised portions, but this is hardly noticeable unless your are closely inspecting the piece, as you can see in the photographs.
The base measures 1 1/8 by 1 1/8 inches.
