NEW" and RARE Department of Defense (DOD)1996 OLYMPICS EAGLE Pin

I opened the package to take better photos for you, but the pin is new, and it has never been worn, displayed, or handled outside of the package until I took the photos today.
I received this pin from a DOD official while serving as a volunteer working at the Special Olympics World Games in 1999.  It was a truly amazing experience volunteering at the Special Olympics World Games, and I will forever be grateful for having had the opportunity to serve as a volunteer for the Special Olympics World Games!
The Dept of Defense representative told me this 1996 Olympics pin was one of only a few left from the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta Georgia.
The pin has an approximate diameter of 7/8 inches.
